Before he was Chief Roger Lange, he was a kid from Benton Harbor, Michigan — a small-town dreamer with a drive to protect others. Born in New Orleans, Lange grew up in a crowded home with 12 relatives, learning discipline, teamwork, and resilience long before his law enforcement days.

Those nights shaped his philosophy: presence matters, visibility deters, and service starts with showing up — lessons that would define his 27-year career and eventually, his business.
From Law Enforcement to Leadership
After years as a custodian and DJ, Lange entered law enforcement as a reserve officer. From there, his career accelerated — from patrol to detective, narcotics officer, bomb technician, and eventually Chief of Police in Benton Harbor.
